My Pink Ink began as a place to share the impacts that breast cancer has had on the lives of so many, and to highlight some of the fantastic (and unique) things people are doing to fight this horrible disease. For a bit more of my story, you can read about the impact breast cancer has had on my family in my first post.
On a professional note, I began my technology career in 1994, dipping my toes into Internet application development before focusing on program management and team leadership in that space. Nothing makes me happier professionally than identifying challenges, finding the right balance of people, process and technology, and wrapping them up in solutions that stay true to an organization’s culture.
To fuel my passion for community and women’s health issues, I serve on the Cancer Lifeline Advisory Board, have been involved with the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen since 1997, and am a Leadership Tomorrow Seattle alum.
I’ve participated in the Komen 3-Day walk 25 times, 18 as a walker and 7 on crew in Seattle. I plan on walking in 4 cities in 2021!
